How to care for your piece
Caring for Your Sterling Silver Jewellery
All my pieces are crafted from 925 Sterling Silver, meaning 92.5% of the metal is pure silver, alloyed with copper or other metals for added strength. This makes your jewellery more durable than pure silver, but it is not fully resistant to tarnishing.
To ensure your pieces’ longevity:
Avoid exposure to chemicals: Remove your pieces before swimming in chlorinated water, using cleaning products, or coming into contact with bleach.
Protect from physical damage: Take off your jewellery when playing sports, lifting heavy objects, or doing manual work.
Avoid prolonged water or sunlight exposure: Don’t leave your jewellery in soapy water or in direct sunlight for extended periods.
Over time, sterling silver may darken or develop a patina—this is normal as Sterling silver naturally oxidises over time, reacting with air, moisture, and oils from your skin. This can cause it to darken or develop a patina—a process that adds character to your piece.
To restore its shine, simply use a silver polishing cloth.
